“I believe that Charo has had a rhinoplasty or two (or more) over the years,” Dr. Norman Rowe, a NYC-based board-certified plastic surgeon who hasn’t treated the icon tells __ exclusively. “This is evident by the fact that in her most recent photographs, her nose, especially the tip, appears to be small or in plastic surgical terms ‘pinched.’ This is usually due to over resection of the nose.”

According to Dr. Rowe, it’s “quite obvious” that she’s also had a facelift and possible fillers in her lips and cheeks.

Dr. Vartan Mardirossian — a double board-certified doc who hasn’t treated Charo — also believes she’s had a rhinoplasty, but speculates she’s only had one, and it was done a long time ago!

“She most definitely had a nose job,” he tells In Touch. “I suspect that the procedure was done only once — even before the first photo was taken [in 1960]. The ‘smoking gun’ of that is the shape of her nasal tip. The specific type of rhinoplasty done in the 70s-80s was characterized by the surgical severing of the cartilage lining the nostril: in such a way a refined and perky nasal tip was achieved in addition to a narrow, almost slit-like shape of the nostrils. The immediate results and the technical ease of this procedure made it extremely popular among plastic surgeons. However as the time goes by and the nasal skin thins down, the asymmetries and the irregularities of the cut cartilages of the tip become more and more visible to eventually warrant a surgical revision.”

According to Dr. Mardirossian, the change in her nose since the initial shot is “nothing else but the normal ‘healing process.’”

Be sure to catch Charo every week on DWTS Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC!
