Bad news ladies — Charles Manson is off the market! The convicted mass murderer has obtained a wedding license to marry a 26-year-old woman who frequently visits the 80-year-old in prison.
According to the Associated Press, who broke the news of the upcoming nuptials, the bride-to-be, Elaine Burton, left her Midwestern home nine years ago to be closer to Manson and has dedicated her life — and several websites — to exonerating him and trying to prove his innocence.
The marriage license was issued Nov. 7 and while no date has been set, the future Mrs. Manson says they will exchange vows next month.
“It’s going to happen,” she tells the AP. “I love him. I’m with him.”

Of course she can only be “with” him to a certain extent. As a life prisoner with no parole date, the 80-year-old is not entitled to conjugal visits, the AP explained.
Manson — who won’t be eligible for parole until 2027 — has spent most of his life behind bars after he and his followers (famously known as the Manson family) were found guilty of killing seven people, including actress Sharon Tate, who was pregnant at the time. The actress’ sister, Debra — who acts as a spokesperson for the families of the victims — has spoken out about the marriage, which she describes as “ludicrous.”
“I think it’s insane,” she tells the Associate Press. “What would any young woman in her right mind want with an 80-year-old man?”
