Celebrities Team Up For New PSA To Save New York From Hurricane Sandy Destruction

After Hurricane Sandy left much of the state in devastation, stars have joined forces for a public service announcement that aims to help raise funds and awareness for those left homeless and displaced.

The Empire State Relief Fund was honored to have the some of New York's most iconic names and faces participate in a PSA titled “My Heart Is In NY.”

Stars like Matthew Broderick, Steve Buscemi, Robert De Niro, Edie Falco, Michael J. Fox, Whoopi Goldberg, Julianna Margulies, Al Pacino, Russell Simmons, Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen, Brooke Shields, Jason Sudeikis, Liv Tyler and more all took part in the cause. The organization has launched several short videos that communicate the necessity in helping to rebuild the disaster stricken state.

In addition, television and cable networks including ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC Universal, as well as cable systems Cablevision and Time Warner Cable, all agreed to air the PSA pro bono to help out those in need.
