NBC sure loves Cee Lo Green!
Not only is the singer a permanent fixture on the network’s hit show The Voice, but the kooky coach is also about to appear on the network in his very own new program.
“I did do a deal to do a show with NBC loosely based on my life which is pretty damn interesting,” the 38-year-old says of his new business venture. “These are things we are going to get started on and devote our full undivided attention on during my hiatus for season four [of The Voice].”
So will Cee Lo be starring on the show or doing his own thing behind the scenes?
“I will be acting like I am acting,” he confesses. But this is nothing new for the Voice coach, who has previously appeared on NBC’s other hit show Parenthood and in the feature film Sparkle. Just last night, the "Forget You" singer took to The Voice stage with his team of hopefuls to perform the Bee Gee's hit "Stayin' Alive." He's certainly no stranger to the spotlight.
NEWS: Cee Lo Talks Christina's Boobs
While the star has been juggling his duties as a Voice mentor as well as scripting his new sitcom for NBC, has Cee Lo had time to watch any other talent competition shows?
“I am going to answer this honestly, I have never ever watched one episode of any of the other shows,” he admits. “Not even to compete or to comparatively speak in any kind of way. The Voice is number one, alpha dog, supreme alpha omega.”
