To say that the upcoming Teen Mom OG reunion special will be emotional is an understatement. Just days after completing her third stint in rehab, Catelynn Lowell took the stage alongside host Dr. Drew Pinsky — and she broke down in tears after watching a clip of her experiences over the last season. More specfically, seeing her daughter Novalee on the screen triggered the waterworks.

"When I was in treatment, I struggled with the fact that like, you know, am I like putting her through the same stuff my parents put me through," she explained to Dr. Drew. "Like, just traumatizing her… it still scares me." Dr. Drew went on to reassure Catelynn that the pain she was feeling was not her daughter's, but hers. Prior to filming, it was reported that her husband Tyler Baltierra wanted her to skip the reunion special due to the couple's recent miscarriage.

"It’s up to Catelynn, but he personally doesn’t want to go," a source revealed to Radar Online. "Reunions can be a s–t show. If they go to the reunion, they’ll be forced to talk about the pregnancy and if she miscarried. It’s understandable Tyler wants to pass on it." Catelynn, 25, checked into rehab for the second time last November, after opening up to fans about her suicidal thoughts. She returned home at the end of December, just to return three weeks later.

“Well, they say third times a charm…I’m going back to treatment people for 6 weeks to work on my trauma and getting on different meds," she tweeted at the time. "THANK YOU @TylerBaltierra I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!! You are my light!! And Nova you are my sunshine #KeepTalkingMH." Since returning home again, Catelynn has been focusing on her sobriety and her mental health.

Teen Mom fans can also expect to see Ryan Edwards' struggles with addiction as another major topic on the special. In a preview, Ryan blames the MTV reality show for not seeking follow-up treatment after his own stint in rehab. "It’s honestly hard to find a counselor because of this TV show," he told Dr. Drew. "[A counselor] was like, ‘I’m not gonna see you because I don’t think the TV show and you are a good idea.'"
