Casey Anthony’s Father Sounds Off on Her New Interview: “[My] Heart Hurts Even More Now”

Casey Anthony’s father, George, has broken his silence about his daughter’s recent interview, in which she discusses her case and the death of her daughter, Caylee, at length for the first time.

“After years of silence, Casey Anthony has decided to complete an interview and has once again pointed to George Anthony, her father, as a suspect in the disappearance and death of his granddaughter, Caylee,” George and his wife Cindy said in a statement.

“George, who has continued to try and move forward from this tragedy and who was vindicated on multiple occasions, is once again forced to relive the hints, rumors, lies, and allegations that are being made by Casey Anthony. He has specifically stated that ‘his heart hurts even more now.’”

Casey has been estranged from her parents since the trial, during which she argued not only that her father molested her, but also that he covered up Caylee’s accidental death after drowning in the pool.

When speaking of her own theories as to what happened to her daughter, Casey seemingly alluded to the claims that her defense team argued, saying, “Everyone has their theories, I don’t know. The last time I saw my daughter, I believed she was alive and was going to be OK, and that’s what was told to me.”
