Is Leelee Sobieski Buying Renée Zellweger’s NYC Apartment?

Amidst rumors that Leelee Sobieski, 27, closed on Renée Zellweger’s NYC pad a month ago, the gorgeous actress ambiguously disputed reports to In Touch at the Museum of Modern Art’s Party in the Garden event on May 10. Sources at the time of the alleged sale claimed that after breaking up with Bradley Cooper, Renée, 42, was looking for a fresh start, and Leelee was looking to nest with her one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Louisanna, and fashion designer hubby, Adam Kimmel. But when asked how her move went, Leelee said, “That is just really still like a crazy rumor! It’s just – it’s not definitive!”

So the prospective buyer and the seller may still be in negotiations, but the actresses got a chance to meet recently at the Met gala in NYC and the good news is… they got along!

“I actually met Renée at the Met ball the other night,” Leelee told In Touch. “She was so nice and lovely. She looked phenomenal and she was so sweet! As I said, it’s a rumor. And we met as two people that were involved in a rumor and we gave each other a hug!”

At least Leelee knows that her prospective future home has good karma!
