$19 million and counting!
TLC's decision to cancel 19 Kids and Counting has cost the Discovery Channel $19 million, their Chief Financial Officer revealed.

According to The Wrap, Discovery CFO, Andrew Warren, divulged details of the company's financial loss on a call yesterday morning.
Warren cited "higher restructuring and other charges" for the loss, explaining the adjustments were "primarily due to content impairment charges of canceling TLC’s 19 Kids & Counting.”

TLC made the decision to pull the plug on the hit show after oldest son Josh Duggar’s molestation scandal came to light.
The 27-year-old, father-of-four, confessed to molesting five underage girls (including four of his sisters) when he was a teenager after In Touch Weekly published a police report — obtained by a Freedom of Information Act request — detailing his crimes.
