Bruce Jenner To Go
Under the Knife Again:
The Olympian Turned
Reality Star Turns to
Plastic Surgery to
Flatten His Adam’s
They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away; but in Bruce Jenner’s case, it’s an apple that’s causing him to run to the doc...His Adam’s apple, that is!
As TMZ first reported, the 64-year-old is going under the knife to get a procedure known as Tracheal shave, which flattens the Adam’s apple. Bruce told the site that he paid a visit to his plastic surgeon earlier this week for the basal cell carcinoma that was removed from his nose this fall.
The procedure—formally known as chondrolaryngoplasty—is typically performed on patients in the initial stages of gender reassignment surgery; despite reports that the reality TV matriarch is in the process of transitioning (changing his gender identity from a man to a woman), Bruce insisted that isn’t why he’s looking into this surgery.
He told TMZ that it’s just a personal preference, adding, “I just never liked my trachea.”
Bruce is no stranger to going under the knife. In 2009, he opened up about the botched nose job and facelift that he received in the 80s—and has been trying to fix every since.
The decathlete has expressed some remorse in the past about his cosmetic procedures—even if his willingness to get another surgery may show otherwise.
“If you Google my name, the worst plastic surgeries of all time or whatever it is… they’ve compared me to Michael Jackson,” he once said on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
