Spencer Pratt Slams Caitlyn Jenner, Says She’s “Bad as a Human”
Leave it to Spencer Pratt to tell it like it is! The dad-to-be appeared on the Allegedly podcast with Theo Von and Matthew Cole Weiss and he threw a significant amount of shade at his best friend Brody Jenner’s father Caitlyn Jenner — formerly known as Bruce — claiming that she was s bad mother before transitioning and a worse human after!
“I didn’t like Bruce. I was team Brody,” the former star of The Hills explained. “Bruce is like the worst dad. He wouldn’t even call Brody on his birthdays. And he lived in the Valley. It’s not like, ‘Oh, I’m in the Czech Republic and we don’t have phones here today.’ He was always bad as a human, from what I saw, being Brody’s best friend.”
Caitlyn was always the first to admit that she struggled with her relationships with her older children, son Burt and daughter Casey from her marriage to Chyrstie Crownover and sons Brody and Brandon with ex-wife Linda Thompson (she also, of course, is father to Kendall and Kylie with ex-wife Kris Jenner). In the Vanity Fair article in which the world met Caitlyn, she admitted that she “made a lot of mistakes” when it came to raising those kids, adding that she “wasn’t as close to [her] kids as [she] should have been.”
For the most part, following her transition, Brody has been publicly supportive of his father. Shortly after her transition, he gushed that the transition made his father a better person — and a much better parent.
“I’ve known Bruce for a long time and I didn’t really get along with Bruce. Caitlyn and I get along a little more, because Caitlyn is actually who she really is and she’s living her life finally now as the person she actually was,” Brody said at the. “Caitlyn is a much freer, happier person and I think that’s very special. I think that the most important thing is that people who are in that situation, don’t be afraid to be yourself. Be yourself. And if you’re not accepted by your family, there will be people who will accept you.”
