Britney Spears reportedly met John Sundahl during a time when she was going through one of her darkest hours. With public meltdowns and unstable behavior, John was there for the pop singer — and allegedly became her boyfriend for a short period of time.
Sadly, the 44-year-old pilot — who previously said he helped Brit overcome her demons — was shot dead last week by Taliban in Afghanistan. Britney, 33, is said to be "devastated" by the tragic turn of events.

According to the 'Mail Online,' John was working in Kabul when a missile hit his helicopter.
“She is devastated,” a source close to Britney told the 'Daily Mirror.' “Britney thought he was a lovely man.”
John’s body was expatriated to the U.S. and buried in a Buddhist ceremony in LA. His brother Karl told the Mirror: “It’s heartbreaking – John went there to try and repair the country.”
John, who allegedly became close to the entertainer after they met at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting in LA in 2007, proved to be a caring man. In 2007, he told the 'National Enquirer' that he told Britney, “If you fall off the wagon, I don’t think you will live.”
Our hearts go out to his family and friends.
