Ever since her epic breakdown at the end of 2007, Britney Spears has been under a conservatorship — and now TMZ is reporting that the whole thing has been so effective, the situation could be in place for the rest of the 33-year-old’s life in part because it’s been so successful.
In early 2008, Brit’s father, Jamie Spears, rushed to court to establish the two conservatorships — one to manage her finances, another to control her personal life — and since they’ve been in place, Britney has come so far, the sources don’t see a reason to change the system.

As TMZ reports, the “Piece of Me” singer was on the brink of losing custody of her kids — nine-year-old Sean Preston and eight-year-old Jayden James — when the documents were filed, and today, there’s no denying she’s a great parent.
Jamie and her doctors have also found a medicinal regime where Brit can not only stick to her work routine, but also maintain her personal life.

As for her money situation — prior to the conservatorship, her finances were said to be a mess, and today, everything is organized and totally under control.
Considering how much progress Britney has made during the last seven years, sources tell TMZ that today, she has “substantial day-to-day freedom” thanks to Jamie and the bevvy of doctors and lawyers who make up Team Britney.
Long story short: The Princess of Pop has come a long way since the conservator was put in place — and if the system ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
