Britney Spears has lost custody of her sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1, to ex-husband Kevin Federline. LA Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon ruled today that the children must be handed over by Wednesday “until further notice of the court."
The decision came after lawyers met with the commissioner in a session requested by Kevin's lawyer. Previously, misdemeanor charges had been filed against Britney — hit-and-run and driving without a valid license — and she was found to be a “habitual, frequent and continuous drug abuser and drinker” by a family court.
On September 17, Gordon ruled that if Britney wants to maintain joint custody of her kids, she must submit to random drug tests. It was also decided that both Britney and Kevin would have to refrain from drinking when the children are around and that they must not "consume alcohol, or other non-prescription controlled substances during or for the 12 hours immediately preceding any period (they are) responsible for the health and safety of the minor children."
