Britney Spears was to be released yesterday from UCLA Medical Center's psychiatric ward after undergoing a 72-hour mental evaluation. But the troubled singer will be staying for another two weeks, with doctors citing a California law that allows patients to be kept for medical treatment if they are gravely disabled or a danger to themselves or others, an insider told the Associated Press. Currently, Britney's father, Jamie Spears, and attorney Andrew Wallet were granted conservatorship over her personal and financial affairs, but a court hearing is scheduled today to review the matter. Britney was also scheduled for another custody hearing today, but most likely will not make it.
