Brad Pitt Request to Seal Custody Documents Rejected by Judge
Brad Pitt’s request to keep documents related to his custody battle with Angelina Jolie private was denied.
In a sworn declaration — obtained by In Touch — Brad requested, “I am extremely irreparable that if court records regarding custody are not sealed, information contained therein will cause irreparable damage to our children’s privacy rights. In order to protect our children from irreparable damage to their privacy rights, I am respectfully requesting that all custody related pleadings be sealed.”
However, shortly after the actor, 52, made the request, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Richard Burge Jr. rejected the request at a hearing where neither Brad nor his estranged wife, 41, were present.
The two are currently at odds when it comes to custody of their six kids — Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8. While Angie currently has full physical custody of the brood, Brad is fighting for joint custody.
