Don’t mess with The Voice! Southern sweetheart Blake Shelton tells the new issue of In Touch — on newsstands now— he’s tired of hearing the criticism his show has received from X Factor meanie Simon Cowell. “Every time I turn around, he’s mouthing off about The Voice,” Blake tells In Touch. “He should spend more time trying to make his show good so he doesn’t have to worry about us!” So is he saying the salty Brit can kiss his country ass? “He knows he can do that!” Blake says with a laugh. The country star has been a proud coach on the hit series for three seasons, but with the recent announcement of Usher and Shakira filling Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green’s empty seats next season, it’s going to be a very different Voice for Blake. But while he and his current co-coaches have had their tense moments, he says he will certainly miss them. “You know with some friends, you fight a lot and then when you make up, you have a better understanding of each other and a stronger relationship?” he says. “That’s the way it’s been with us.” For more from Blake on the hit show and his new album, pick up this week’s issue of In Touch, on newsstands now!
