In the new issue of In Touch magazine, on stands now, Bindi Irwin opens up about her hopes to make late father, wildlife expert Steve Irwin, proud on Dancing With the Stars.
“I wish he was here and could be a part of this,” says Bindi, who’s waltzing her heart out with partner Derek Hough. “But I believe he’d be happy and proud that I’m trying something out of my comfort zone.”

Bindi explained that her father was the most fearless person she knew.
"Life was filled with adventure,” Bindi says. "And like him, I’m very passionate and determined. And of course, working with animals is in my DNA and always will be."

And after her quest for the mirror-ball trophy, it’s no surprise the bubbly teenager will continue her work with animals.

When asked where she sees herself in five years, Bindi replied: "Working at the Australia Zoo and expanding our conservation work. Dad always said, 'I don’t care if people remember me, I just care if people remember my message.' So hopefully, I’ll be carrying out his legacy."
