Surprise! Beyoncé blindsided fans Saturday by dropping a provocative new single and accompanying music video that includes an appearance by her darling daughter Blue Ivy.
The song, called "Formation," was released on YouTube and Tidal just 24 hours before her appearance with Coldplay at the Super Bowl 50 halftime show. Queen Bey posted several photos from the video on Instagram to promote the new single.

The song and video are full of political commentary on and images of police brutality against African Americans, race, Hurricane Katrina and black wealth. There's also a cute cameo by three-year-old Blue, who's smiling and dancing in a white dress (with other little girls in white dresses) in a few frames.

Wow. Now we're even more excited to see Beyoncé at the Super Bowl tonight!
