As a former child star from a top Disney show who’s branching out with more adult endeavors, Bella Thorne is often compared to those who have come before her. In an exclusive interview with In Touch magazine, Bella says while these comparisons are natural, they aren’t exactly welcome.
“Just because I was on Disney, too, I don’t think that’s fair,” the DUFF actress and star of MTV’s upcoming TV adaption of Scream tells In Touch.

“I never want to be compared to them,” Bella tells In Touch. “We’re nothing alike. I would never take the routes they’ve taken.”
Bella — who rocked a Julien Macdonald dress to the Ted 2 premiere last night — explains to In Touch how she avoids the usual pitfalls of Hollywood that the many Disney stars that came before her fell victim to. “I’m not a party girl,” she says. “My favorite thing to do is sit in my bed with my mom and go on a Netflix binge!”

Bella has no plans to follow in anyone else’s footsteps. “I’m doing my own thing,” says Bella, “and I think it’s working out pretty well.”
