Movies That Need a
Sequel

Beetlejuice may be coming back to our screens and and we so can’t wait for the outrageous bioexorcist to return!

During a RoboCop junket in LA, Michael Keaton, one of the stars of the film, addressed rumors of there being a sequel to the 1988 hit fantasy film.

“I’ve emailed Tim [Burton] a couple of times, talked to the writer a couple of times, but all really, really preliminary stuff,” Keaton told MTV News.

“I always said that’s the one thing I’d like to do again, if I ever did anything again. But it kind of required Tim to be involved some way or another.”

Another star of the film, Winona Ryder, who played Lydia Deetz, also hinted at there being a sequel to the film that grossed $73.7 million.

"I'm kind of sworn to secrecy," Ryder told The Daily Beast in November. "But it sounds like it might be happening… And I have to say, I love Lydia so much. She was such a huge part of me. I would be really interested in what she is doing 27 years later.”

Writer Seth Grahame-Smith has reportedly been working on a Beetlejuice 2 script since 2012. Now all Keaton needs to do is convince his co-stars, including Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis and Annie McEnroe. And of course, the director Tim Burton.

With all the excitement surrounding the highly anticipated sequel to Beetlejuice, we put together our own list of other iconic 80s films just screaming to be brought back to the big screens.
