In Touch has exclusively learned shocking new details inside the arrest of Pawn Stars' Austin "Chumlee” Russell, including exactly what cops found while executing a search warrant in a sexual assault investigation on March 9.
In Touch has obtained the official arrest report that reveals police found not one but six handguns, five rifles and a shotgun along with ammunition, 17 Xanax bars (the prescription drug in its just-manufactured state containing multiple pills, commonly abused), nearly 4 ounces of marijuana, seven capsules of meth as well as baggies, rolling papers and scales.

“Police were surprised they found this stuff, too,” a law enforcement source reveals. “They were just looking for anything related to the [alleged] sex assault. They weren’t expecting drugs and guns.”
Cops confiscated a T-shirt and bedding and took DNA swabs from Chumlee. But as they began their search, authorities noticed a large vault and ordered Chumlee to open it.

“Austin did not want police to enter the vault because he had ‘private things’ in there,” the arrest report, obtained exclusively by In Touch, states. “Austin was reluctant to cooperate, explaining he had marijuana and guns in the vault and he smoked ‘a lot of weed.’”
He also indicated that the pot was for his “personal use” and he was “not a drug dealer.” When officers informed him that the search warrant gave them the right to forcibly unlock the vault, he finally opened it for them.

By the time they finished, cops had uncovered a staggering amount of evidence. Among the items found in the vault, kitchen, master bedroom and the “Chum Chum room with dance pole” were the 12 firearms — four of which were registered to him — with ammunition, plus the marijuana, “zanie bars” and seven capsules of meth, along with baggies, rolling papers and scales.
“Many of these items are commonly found with persons who package and sell controlled substances,” the report notes.
The 33-year-old former meth user was charged with 19 counts of drug possession and one count of prohibited-person possession of a firearm and released the following day after posting $62,000 bail. But as he awaits a May court date — and as cops continue to probe an unnamed woman’s sex assault complaint — huge questions remain about his secret double life.
So far, his friends and colleagues are standing by him.“We don’t have the details yet,” says his costar and boss Rick Harrison, “but we are here to help Chumlee however we can.”
