When Terricka Cromartie first found out that she was pregnant with twins, she was hesitant to share the news with the world.
And it’s easy to understand why; her NFL pro husband, Antonio, had gotten a vasectomy prior to conceiving the twins, who mark babies No. 11 and 12 for the 32-year-old football pro (who has eight children from previous relationships, in addition to his two kids — Jurzie, 6, and Jagger, 4, with Terricka).

But in an exclusive interview with In Touch, Terricka and Antonio say that they are not only happy with their decision to share the news with the world — but they’re about to share even more, as they are filming a reality show about their blended family!

When asked what the biggest misconception about his family is, Antonio couldn’t help but joke “everything,” and his wife hopes that opening their private life up to the public will change everyone’s perception of their unconventional, modern family.

“To be honest, I just feel that our family dynamic is very interesting, I think we’re very misjudged from the outside looking in and I just wanted to showcase how relatable we are, how blended families do work and, you know, regardless of your circumstances, you can still be successful in your family life,” the pregnant model tells In Touch exclusively.

She continues, “And I believe we are an example of that… We have a lot of fun with each other, there’s a lot of love. My husband is a very hands-on father and the kids just adore him.”
Despite having their hands full — with two babies and a reality show on the way — the Cromarties were able to find time to celebrate their impending arrivals with a baby shower at their New Jersey home on April 16.

The party (planned by Slomique Hawrylo of CELEBrations) was inspired by what’s most important to the Cromarties — family.
“The Cromarties’ baby shower design comes from many inspirations, it was important for Terricka to have a sense of family in design with a hint of natural and vintage elements,” Slomique explains.
The Cromarties were able to achieve this by including vintage lounge seating provided by Dovetail Vintage; guests sipped on Ciroc cocktails (the Cromarties’ favorite) and indulged in bites by Chef Ameer that satisfied everyone’s cravings.
In addition to a custom, three-tier red velvet cake by BCakeNY, a vintage candy bar by Treat Me Sweet featured custom “Cro’s Nest” chocolate bars, bringing home the theme of family.

And it’s clear that for everyone — even the littlest Cromarties — there’s nothing more important than family.
“My two youngest — my six-year-old and my four-year-old — they’re very excited,” she says of the twins’ arrival. “They fight over who’s going to get to do what with the baby, [and] they already made plans to take the babies to show-and-tell at school.”
