It’s been more than eight years since Anna Nicole Smith tragically passed away at the age of 39. And now a former lover, Mark Fetters, has come forward with shocking new claims: He believes she was murdered — as was her son, Daniel!
“She was murdered, and I hope someday charges can be brought,” the 53-year-old tells Radar Online.

Mark says he met the former Playmate after being set up on a blind date in 2000. At the time, she was battling for her ex-husband, J. Howard Marshall’s, $1.4 billion estate as he had died five years prior.
Not long after they met, Mark moved into the Hollywood home where she lived with her son Daniel, who later passed away in 2006. At the time of his death, he was in the Bahamas visiting his mother in the hospital, where she had given birth to daughter Dannielynn days prior.

When the blonde bombshell died in February 2007 — just five months after her son — Anna’s mother, Virgie Arthur, began to speculate it wasn’t an accident.
“Virgie believes the same person is responsible for her grandson’s and her daughter’s deaths,” Mark alleges.
“Virgie was a sheriff and feels there’s no accident in this. I agree with Virgie. I think something is definitely wrong.”

Mark had previously worked with the FBI in connection to his relationship with Anna.
He claims their romance ended when authorities asked him to wear a wire in an attempt to catch Anna in a murder-for-hire plot. The feds allegedly felt she was involved in a scheme to kill her late husband’s son, Pierce, who was also after the billion-dollar fortune.
“I told them I would do it, but ultimately I couldn’t go through with it because I loved her,” he says.

On Feb. 8, 2007, Anna Nicole Smith was found unconscious in her hotel room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fla. Despite her bodyguard’s attempt to perform CPR, she was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Ultimately, her cause of death was determined to be “combined drug intoxication” with sleeping medication chloral hydrate as a “major component.”

Howard K. Stern, a longtime friend of Anna’s, has long been accused of using fake names and false pretenses to score prescription drugs for the model. Most recently, felony charges regarding these claims were dropped.
Mark insists he knew something was unusual after speaking to his ex-girlfriend shortly before her death. Little did he know, it would be their last conversation ever.
“She was slurring very bad and not making a whole lot of sense,” he explains. “I just wanted to get her straightened out and off pills and to start exercising.”
