Only one day after making her first public appearance since her double mastectomy surgery in February, Angelina Jolie stood dutifully by her man Brad Pitt's side today as he promoted World War Z in Paris.
And the couple who dress together, stay together! The duo donned similar pantsuits for the flick's French premiere – Angie in yet another custom Saint Laurent number.
Last night, the Salt actress attended Brad’s premiere in London, where she told reporters and fans, “I feel wonderful. I’m very, very grateful for all the support; it means a lot to me.”
In mid-May, the actress went public with her decision to undergo a double mastectomy to lower her chances of getting cancer. The process began on Feb. 2 and finished nearly three months later on April 27.
By having the preventative surgery, her risk of getting breast cancer lowered from 87 percent to less than five percent. And it was something they had never planned to hide from their six children, who range in age from 4 to 12.“We have a policy in our family, no secrets,” the actor told Extra at an afterparty for World War Z last night.
Brad also called Angie “a badass” for her decision. "It's a huge relief to know, that's the thing that's not going to take her," the 49-year-old said. "[Cancer] is not the thing I'm going to have to explain to the kids about why they can't see mom again. It's big, it's everything."
Angelina also opted to skip the funeral of her aunt, who died of breast cancer last week, in order to be in Europe to support her fiancé for the premiere of his film. “I’m here for Brad,” she said. “I’m so proud of him.”
