Amanda Bynes has been put on a psychiatric hold, according to a new TMZ report.
The outlet reports that the troubled 27-year-old started a small fire in the driveway of someone's home (not her own) in Thousand Oaks, Calif. on Monday night. The fire department came to the home, then called the sheriff's department after they spotted the Easy A actress standing in the driveway next to the fire.
When sheriff's deputies questioned Amanda about what she was doing and why, her answers were worrisome and "they determined she needed to be hospitalized on a 5150 hold."
A 5150 hold is an involuntary hospitalization for mental health evaluation. Under the terms of a 5150, Amanda can only be held for 72 hours.
It's been a very troublesome time for the former child star. On Saturday, she was kicked out of New York's Ritz-Carlton Hotel for reportedly smoking weed in her room and insulting a receptionist until she cried.
Earlier this month, Amanda appeared in a court hearing stemming from her May 23 arrest. She had been arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, unlawful possession of marijuana and attempted tampering with physical evidence when she allegedly threw a bong out of her NYC apartment window.
Her next court hearing is scheduled for Sept. 26.
