Amanda Bynes is a free woman! The 27-year-old star has been released from rehab following an involuntary stay and spoke exclusively to In Touch about her progress.

"I am doing very well," the star happily said on Tuesday. "I'm doing great, it's been five days since I got out of rehab."

After almost five months out of the spotlight, Bynes is settling back into a normal life with her family after leaving a treatment facility just before Thanksgiving. She was seen indulging in retail therapy on Dec. 1, browsing a local mall and picking up some new clothes from Forever 21. "She looks great!" an eyewitness tells In Touch. "She looks healthy and was very polite and friendly. She spent about $100."

Two days later, the Easy A star joined her father, Rick, for a stroll around their quiet California neighborhood. "She was dressed in skinny jeans and a big shawl," says another onlooker. "She appeared to have lost a little weight but was smiling and looked happy. She was chatting away to her dad. They were deep in conversation."

She is due in court on Jan. 7 for a progress hearing in her ongoing DUI case.
