Many of the hottest stars loathe the paparazzi — but not Adrian Grenier. The Entourage actor first met Austin Visschedyk when the young celebrity photographer was chasing him down the streets of Hollywood at just 13 years old, and the two struck up an instant friendship. "At first he was just a curiosity, and then, low and behold, he became a complete education for me," Adrian told In Touch at the Gen Art Film Festival Presented by Acura premiere of his documentary about Austin, Teenage Paparazzo, in New York. During a two-and-a-half-year span, Adrian and his camera captured Austin's daily life on the paparazzi scene, even hunting down celebs himself at some points. "I think as with anything you initially judge, there's a whole side to it that you might not know. I think part of this movie is about bridging the gap of ignorance as a way to gain more empathy and understanding and appreciation. I discovered that I can appreciate some of these guys," Adrian added of his new friendships with the photographers who follow him and other stars every day. When suggested that he may have been a mentor to Austin,
Adrian wasn't so sure. "I hope Austin looks at me as a positive influence on his life, but who knows, maybe I just screwed him up!" he laughed.
