Adam Levine's rep has confirmed that The Voice judge, 34, is engaged to the woman everyone thought was his ex-girlfriend, 24-year old Namibia-born model Behati Prinsloo. The news comes not only as a shock due to the fact that the "Moves Like Jagger" singer once said he didn't believe in marriage, but also that he and Behati had split and Adam had moved on with another Victoria's Secret model, Nina Agdal. So what happened to her?
Nina and Adam, who began dating in early spring, were just spotted together on a Mexican vacation in June. Before Behati, Adam dated yet another lingerie model, Anne Vyalitsyna, and there were rumors that Behati and Anne's relationship was destroyed when Behati rebounded with her BFF's ex.
What changed Adam's mind about marriage? "I'm doing pretty well. If you don't get married, you can't get divorced," said the Maroon 5 frontman in April. "Why couldn't we learn that from the devastatingly low percentage of successful marriages that our last generation went through?"
Two months later, he had a change of heart when he sat down with Oprah Winfrey and revealed he would like to marry one day. "Hearing [Voice co-judge] Blake [Shelton] talk about it, it’s great,” he told the talk show host on an episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter. “I’m a fan of marriage. People think that I keep poo-pooing marriage, but I love it.”
Like any woman, Nina probably isn't too thrilled with the news - but that's not stopping her from keeping up with work commitments. She's scheduled to make her first public appearance - since news of her ex's engagement - this weekend. The brunette beauty will be in Miami to help kick off Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.
Nina will be sitting pretty in the front row at the Veet-sponsored Beach Bunny and L*Space show alongside fellow models Chrissy Teigen and Irina Shayk. Surely she'll get by with a little help from her girlfriends.
