Everyone’s favorite reality TV family, the Busbys, are currently under fire from fans who feel they’ve been misled. The OutDaughtered stars — who have six daughters — have always prided themselves on taking care of their large brood on their own. Yet according to a report from Entertainment Daily last week, the couple actually has a nanny. Now, the busy parents are speaking out.

While their finale episode aired last night, Adam, 35, and Danielle, 33, took to Twitter to shut down the rumors — while throwing a bit of shade at their haters. They each responded to a fan who wrote, “Mommy keeps up with those kids because she has a nanny she doesn’t do it herself.” Adam replied, “Hmmm.. news to me!” Danielle added, “Hmmm.. really? Interesting.”

Adam works full-time and Danielle is the sole parent at home during the day. They are also part owners of Rush Cycle, an indoor cycling studio in their hometown of League City, TX, so the couple certainly has their hands full. Yet eagle-eyed OutDaughtered fans have pointed out that the house is always spotless and Danielle looks well put together at all times. In fact, their nanny has reportedly been seen on-camera but is referred to as a “close family friend.”

On a messageboard titled dcurbanmom, one former fan wrote, “I used to watch. Had to stop when I found out they have a nanny, who they don’t want to announce on the show. All because it will show they aren’t doing it alone.” Another — who claims to be an insider — added, “I know the nanny. She works full time (40 hours or more) and both TLC and the parents agreed to not show the nanny because it ‘shows’ they aren’t doing it alone.” Yet other fans aren’t ready for a Busby takedown and don’t belive the allegations. A third chimed in, “I’m in a nanny group on Facebook and the old nanny and new nanny are both in the group and that’s not true at all. Their old Nanny was showed a few times last season but was just labeled as a ‘babysitter.'” Sigh, we still love them regardless!
