Earning the title of Gentle Giant on Dancing With the Stars was music to UFC fighter Chuck Liddell's ears. Sure, Chuck can be a menacing opponent in the octagon ring, but he proved he could be light on his feet and graceful on the dance floor. He also accomplished his goal — to prove that fighters are regular people. "That's why I did the show," reveals Chuck. "To let people know we are normal people, who just happen to do that. Hopefully, I got that message across to people." But his country two-step received a low score — not enough for Chuck and partner Anna Trebunskaya to survive another week on the show. "I liked the dance and the song," Chuck told In Touch. "I even got to wear my own Cowboy Rodeo belt buckle."

How do you both feel about the decision?
Anna: It feels like crap!
Chuck: I was shocked. I thought we may have gotten more votes than that, but it is what it is.
Are you relieved you don't have to learn another dance?
Chuck: Not really. I was excited about the next dance and wanted to get a shot at the quick-step. I liked it and we had been working on it. The motion was something I liked, and I can actually move pretty quicklty. I also liked this week's dance.
What do you hope you achieved doing the show?
Chuck: I hopefully got across to America that fighters are not a bunch of Neanderthals — that's why I did the show. To let people know we are normal people, who just happen to do that. There have been bad connotations with people like myself who have been fighting a long time that I really don't understand. When I held the world title, four out of the five world title holders were college graduates. In fact, Rich Franklin was a math teacher. Hopefully, I got that message across to people.
What surprised you most about the experience?
Chuck: I knew it would be hard, but didn't realize how different it was going to be and how hard it would be to switch from what I normally do to this. I am an athlete, so sports always came easy, but I always assumed a crouching position, that completely ruined everything.
Anna: He has a turtle position.
Chuck: I have a 19-inch neck, which doesn't make it long and pretty.
Have you gotten taller since dancing?
Anna: He's always been 6'2", but now he is an obvious 6'2".
Chuck: The funny thing is, she had me working on it. My homework was walking tall.
What will you miss most about Anna?
Chuck: We had fun, she makes fun of me and we had a good time. She has a great sense of humor.
Anna: I will miss that he gets my sense of humor.
Have you hung up your dance shoes?
Anna: He has to come back for the finale!
Chuck: Man, I love dancing and have never been accused of being a good dancer, but I've always liked dancing in clubs. My friends would tell their girlfriends to dance with me since I would dance with them. At least I entertained. I wish we could have stuck around longer, and I feel like I let Anna down.
Anna: Don't worry about it.
