‘Teen Mom’ Star Ryan Edwards Is Looking a Whole Lot Better Since His Recent Rehab Stint — See the Pics!
Sobriety looks good on Ryan Edwards!
Season 7 of MTV’s Teen Mom OG shined a light on his struggle with addiction — and fans were shocked during the season finale when a disturbing scene showed the father-of-one swerving in and out of lanes while driving to his rushed wedding ceremony to Mackenzie Standifer. But since that episode was filmed, Ryan admitted himself into a 30-day rehab program — and his new wife can’t stop sharing photos of him since his stint!
She captioned the photo, “State Champs! Great job Bentley, we love you!” Fans were quick to show their support of Ryan and his sobriety. One wrote, “Ryan looks great!” While another added, “Would love an update on Ryan and his health. I love seeing you guy on Teen Mom and I was very sad at what happened. You both look amazing together.”
It looks like Ryan is doing much better now after getting much-needed help. And judging from her Instagram, Mackenzie is still very much in love with her hubby.

“Fave place. Fave people,” the 21-year-old captioned a shot of the couple enjoying time on the beach in a tropical location. She also shared a photo of her, Ryan, and her toddler son from a previous marriage, and she simply captioned the shot with a heart emoji.

Ryan’s substance abuse issues came to light when, after months of speculation, Maci Bookout finally admitted that Ryan had a problem with pills. Earlier this season, Maci called a counselor over the phone to ask for advice on how to help an addict and she even said that she would be open to giving Ryan an ultimatum — get clean or lose custody of their eight-year-old son, Bentley.
“I’m not really sure exactly what it is that he’s using,” Maci revealed to the counselor. “Sometimes he’ll fall asleep while you’re trying to have a conversation with him, or he’s extremely wide-eyed and he doesn’t look right.”
But the driving scene showed Ryan at the height of his addiction, and he struggled to steer the vehicle and keep his eyes open. At one point, Mackenzie could be heard asking him if he took Xanax — and he swore on his son’s life that he didn’t, even though it was clear that he was high.
His fellow Teen Mom OG co-star Simon Saran live-tweeted during the season finale and he made the shocking claim that MTV producer Kiki Malone was responsible for Ryan driving under the influence because she allegedly is the one who gave him pills.
