Are Abby St. Germain and Sean Hiler still together? 90 Day Fiancé fans were first introduced to the couple on the spin-off 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days and despite their controversial 27-year age difference, their storyline eventually ended with Sean getting down on one knee and proposing to Abby near the end of his trip to Haiti. Even though the couple was still happily engaged after the Season 1 tell-all special, so much has happened since the cameras stopped rolling. Back in March, Abby and Sean split and they both took to social media to announce that they called off their engagement. Watch the video below to find out why Abby and Sean broke up!

Since then, Abby has moved on and she already has a new man and fans accused her of moving on too quickly and blasting her new relationship on social media to rub it in Sean’s face. But Abby defended herself in her in the comments on Instagram, and she even hinted that another reason why she broke up with Sean is because he may have been a little flakey in terms of their plans for him to move to the Dominican Republic where Abby is currently enrolled in college so that he could be with her. “[Sean is] a very good person! He just needs to stop making plans and actually start working on them,” Abby wrote.

Things between Abby and Sean definitely took a turn after the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 1 tell-all special. The couple had been able to work through an issue that arose during the season, which stemmed from Sean’s jealousy when it came to Abby’s close relationship with her ex-boyfriend Chris. Fans were shocked that the couple’s relationship lasted so long — even after Abby made a bombshell reveal.

Abby joined Sean on the tell-all via video chat and it didn’t take long for the drama to start. Sean and Abby had a tense conversation about her relationship with Chris, and Abby admitted that she was still accepting money from Chris while she was with Sean and she even confessed that she was in the Dominican Republic at the time of taping because she was living in Chris’ apartment.

But Abby said that she is moving out of Chris’ apartment because of an angry text message he sent her, and she read it out loud to the camera. “I still love you, but I will not enable someone who disrespects me as deeply as you do,” he wrote. Since Chis basically broke off all communication with Abby and asked her to move out of his apartment, she promised Sean that things are finally over between her and her ex.

Throughout his visit in Haiti with Abby, Sean was extremely suspicious of the nature of Abby’s relationship with her ex-boyfriend Chris — and it seemed like he had every reason to because she mistakenly called Sean “Chris” during a confessional earlier on in the season. Abby explained that there was nothing romantic going on between her and Chris and they only dated for a few months before deciding that they were better off as friends. It was important for her to still remain friends with Chris even though she was in a relationship with Sean.

But on an earlier episode, Sean finally came face-to-face with Chris and he confronted him about their relationship. Things got extremely tense when Sean demanded to see Abby’s phone so that he could read her WhatsApp conversation with Chris, but Abby refused to let Sean see her phone. Sensing tension, Chris got up and walked away and shortly after he left, Abby got up and walked away too.

“There’s a part of me that wants to say, ‘Ok, you can have this guy,’ knowing there’s going to be more pain down the road,” Sean said, crying in his confessional. “The thing is I do love her.”
