He’s doing his time. Jorge Nava was sentenced to two and a half years behind bars and he’s now officially checked into the Arizona State Prison Complex in Phoenix. The 90 Day Fiancé star’s mugshot has also surfaced, showing him wearing an orange shirt and jumpsuit.

According to updated prison records, Jorge’s release date is Aug. 9, 2020, however his sentence doesn’t come to an end until Nov. 7, 2020. The records also claim the reality star moved to the new facility last Thursday, after being booked in western Arizona where he was arrested and sentenced. Jorge’s lawyer was able to get his class 2 felony charge reduced to a class 4 felony after he was caught for allegedly trying to sell 293 pounds of weed.

Jorge’s wife, Anfisa Arkhipchenko, is also coming to terms with this major life change. The reality star, 23, thanked everyone for their support in a YouTube vlog on Sept. 13, and she revealed how she was coping. “Honestly, it feels like Jorge is not the only one serving his sentence, but I am too,” Anfisa said, while sharing how she’s trying to stay strong for her partner. Both felt his sentencing was a bit harsh because marijuana is legal in some states and also for medicinal purposes in Arizona, which happens to be where he was caught.

In her video, Anfisa said they initially hoped to have Jorge’s previous felony convictions in California overturned as they were all pot-related and the state has since legalized marijuana, however the appeal process would take too long. “The plan right now is that Jorge is going to do whatever he can, whatever programs they have there in prison, to get out early,” she said. We’re wishing them the best during this extremely tough time.
