He's looking better! 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After star David Toborowsky and his wife Annie Suwan have been living through any parent's worst nightmare after his son Jacob was accidentally shot in the face by a friend earlier this year. Jacob's injuries were not life-threatening but they did require multiple surgeries in order from him to completely heal, and David took to Instagram to share a new update on his son's progress.

"Update on Jacob. He is doing much better. Again, thank you all so much for your prayers," David wrote in the caption. In the photo, his 18-year-old son still looked like he had a scar and a small bump where the bullet entered his face, but the swelling had gone down quite a bit in his cheek.

Fans who haven't been keeping up with David on social media just learned about his son's accident earlier this season on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After. Thankfully, Jacob looks like he's doing a whole lot better after his surgeries. Back in February, David shared a photo after one of Jacob's last procedures where doctors tried to remove the bullet that was lodged in his cheek.

"I wanted to give an update on my son Jacob. He had surgery yesterday down in Houston. The damage to the muscles in his face are more severe than [first] thought," David wrote on Facebook at the time. "The main part of the bullet was removed. Please keep him in your prayers as the road he has is going to be long and hard. Thank you all again for the prayers, messages, and thoughts."

Shortly after Jacob's unfortunate accident, he moved out of his father's firehouse apartment that he shared with Annie in Louisville, KY to live with his mother, David's ex-wife, in Houston. It's unclear if Jacob is still living with his mother or if he moved back with his dad.

Jacob's older sister Ashley revealed details about the scary incident that led to Jacob being shot, and she explained that Jacob was hanging out with a friend when that friend (whose name is being withheld because he is a minor) pulled out a gun and started waving it around, according to local TV station WDRB. The friend assured Jacob that the gun was not loaded and that the safety was on, but that wasn't the case. His pal accidentally pulled the trigger and shot Jacob in his right cheek. Thankfully, he was rushed to a nearby hospital and miraculously survived.
