This is heartbreaking.

Yesterday, Oct. 15, marked National Pregnancy Infant Loss Day. To honor the somber event, Jack Osbourne’s wife, Lisa (née Stelly), shared a picture of teeny, tiny baby footprints and penned an emotional letter about the child she lost to a late-term miscarriage.

In an emotional post, the 28-year-old wrote:

“Today is National #PregnancyAndInfantLoss Day. I don’t talk about what happened to us much, and I’ve never posted this photo before out of fear that someone would say something mean or negative. I don’t care anymore. I would have an almost two-year-old son named Theo. I never got to meet him, and this is all I have to remember him by…his tiny little footprint. It still hurts every day, and I will always love and miss him. He was a real baby, and he was mine. My heart goes out to my friends, family and those of you I don’t know that have suffered the loss of a baby. I love you all!”

Back in September 2013, Jack and Lisa — who are parents to three-year-old Pearl and four-month-old Andy — revealed they lost a child in a heartbreaking post on her blog.

“I have been dreading this announcement,” she wrote at the time.

“I needed some time before being able to say it. Jack and I lost our baby boy last week. Having a late-term miscarriage is by far the hardest thing either of us have ever had to go through… We never know why things like this happen. All we can do is trust in God and know he has a plan for our lives.”
