Jill Duggar Gives Birth to Her Second Baby With Husband Derick Dillard!

They’re now a family of four!

Jill Duggar gave birth to her second baby on Saturday, July 8 — welcoming a son named Samuel with her husband Derick Dillard! The couple revealed details of their baby boy’s birth on their official website.

“We are excited to finally announce the arrival of Samuel Scott Dillard! The newest addition to our family arrived on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at 1:02 pm,” the statement read. “He weighs [nine pounds], 10 [ounces] and is 22 [inches] long. After 40 hours of labor, he was delivered via C-section at the hospital. Thank you for your continued prayers and support!”

Jill’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, also shared the exciting news on their own official website and they couldn’t be more excited to be grandparents again.

“We are so happy to welcome another sweet grandbaby and know that Israel is going to be a perfect big brother!” they wrote.

The Counting On stars are already parents to two-year-old son Israel, aka Izzy, and even though he might be too young to really know what the duties of becoming a big brother entails, his grandparents and his parents are sure that he’ll fit into the role just fine.

“Israel didn’t really understand what was happening but he’s just excited because other people are excited, so he’s just excited about his new little baby brother,” Derick said in a TLC video announcing the couples’ pregnancy back in January, and Jill added, “I know that Israel and this little one will be best friends.”
