Being involved in a fatal car crash would be hard for anyone. But Feb. 7’s accident was particularly difficult for Bruce Jenner, because he was forced to relive the nightmare of his brother Burt’s death.

The Olympian’s late brother was only 18-years-old on Nov. 20, 1976 when he died behind the wheels of a silver Porsche — which belonged to the reality TV star.

It was around 9:30 a.m. when he ran out to get gas near the family’s home in Canton, Conn. never to return again.

According to the police report, obtained by ‘Radar Online’, the sports car slammed into a telephone pole, resulting in “extensive damage to the front portion of the car.”

Authorities found Burt’s body almost 90 miles from the scene. His passenger, Judith Hutchings, was also killed after being ejected from the vehicle.

A neighbor and witness to the crash said the car zoomed by her home “at a very fast rate of speed.”

Now, 40 years later, his involvement in the car accident on the Pacific Coast Highway is forcing Bruce to relive all those painful memories.

A source tells ‘Radar,’ “Bruce is still haunted by the horror of that, and this new crash has only made that horror worse.”
