Lifetime can’t stop, won’t stop with these biopics.

The late Michael Jackson is the latest to receive the documentary treatment, in a special called Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland based on a 2014 book called Remember the Time: Protecting Michael Jackson in His Final Days, written by his bodyguards Bill Whitfield and Javon Beard.

Famed MJ impersonator Navi will portray the “King of Pop” and the unauthorized biopic will focus on the end of his life, and his challenge with balancing the professional and personal aspects.

“He doesn’t want to be the King of Pop. He just wants to be Mike. A normal American dad,” one guard explains in the trailer.

You may also recognize the actor who plays Bill — as he is Chad L. Coleman, who played the beloved Tyrese on AMC’s The Walking Dead. Other stars include Murder in the First star Sam Adegoke, Chicago Fire actress Holly Robinson Peete, and JAG star Isabella Hofmann.

According to IMDB, “The movie will reveal firsthand the devotion Michael Jackson had to his children and the hidden drama that took place during the last two years of his life.”

“Raising these kids alone is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do,” the actor playing Michael says in the trailer — referring to Paris, Prince, and Blanket Jackson.

“There are good people in the world and there are bad people. I’ll always protect you,” he tells the kids — played by Taegen Burns (Paris), Aidan Hanlon Smith (Prince), and Michael Mourra (Blanket) — in another segment.

We can’t help but wonder how Michael’s family feels about this.
