Looks like we’ll never be done counting! Joseph Duggar became the most recent Duggar child to tie the knot when he married his wife Kendra Caldwell in September — which means (knowing the Duggars) a pregnancy announcement is likely just around the corner. While Joseph and Kendra never commented on their desires to have kids, we wouldn’t be surprised if they had a big family considering they both come from big families. Joseph is, of course, one of 19 children, and Kendra is the oldest of seven kids. The Duggars don’t use any form of contraception, in keeping with their conservative Christian values.

In the past, Jim Bob and Michelle explained their decision to abandon birth control of any kind after the birth of their oldest child, Josh. They began using the pill, only to learn that Michelle became pregnant anyway. Not long after getting the news did they find out she lost the baby — and they long suspected that the miscarriage was somehow linked to birth control.

“As conservative Christians, we believe every life is sacred, even the life of the unborn. Due to our lack of knowledge, we destroyed the precious life of our unborn child. We prayed and studied the Bible and found a host of references that told us God considered children a gift, a blessing, and a reward,” the family has explained. “Yet we had considered having another child an inconvenience during that busy time in our lives, and we had taken steps to prevent it from happening.”
