Lisa Edelstein has come under fire for an insensitive tweet about the untimely death of beloved actor Alan Thicke.

The star of Girlfriends Guide to Divorce tweeted, “RIP Alan Thicke. Seems like everyone is checking out before the Trumpacolypse.”

Of course, it didn’t take long for fans to come in and remind Lisa not only of Alan’s Canadian heritage, but also that it’s not right to belittle someone’s death by bringing up politics and personal opinions.

“The man died in front of his 17-year-old son a week before Christmas, but lol Trump right?” one frustrated follower wrote. Another tweeted, “Absolutely insensitive and unnecessary. Someone’s father, husband and grandfather died today. Do not politicize it.”

Alan died at the age of 69 after suffering a heart attack. He is survived by his wife, Tanya, and three sons, Brennan, Robin and Carter.
