Well, this is awkward.

Keshia Knight Pulliam, who played Bill Cosby‘s TV daughter Rudy Huxtable on The Cosby Show, walked arm-in-arm with him on Monday as he entered court for his sexual assault trial.

The disgraced actor, 79, has claimed innocence following accusations of rape from more than 50 women.

The two looked inexplicably cheerful — sometimes laughing — as they walked into the courthouse together.

He even tweeted his appreciation for her being there:

Until now, Keshia has kept a fairly low profile over the years.

The 38-year-old welcome a baby girl, Ella Grace, back in January and revealed at the time that Ella’s middle name was inspired by her split from her ex-husband, Ed Hartwell — who filed for divorce when Keshia was three months pregnant.

“When I tell you through all of this the grace of God has so been with us and has covered us and protected us — she’s been my saving grace to get through it,” Keshia said. “It’s knowing that it’s not about me. Knowing that on days when I want to curl up in the bed, pull the covers over my head and cry until my eyes fall out, that is not an option, because she feels everything I feel, and right now, it is bigger than me — it’s about her. It is about her being OK.”

As for Monday’s appearance with her former TV dad, “That isn’t the man that I know,” she once said.

“What I can say is this: I wasn’t there,” she said, calling it an “unfortunate situation.” She added, “That just wasn’t how I ever experienced him.”

Months later on her own podcast, she seemingly changed her mind about the claims. “Okay, let me just say this real quick, cause, you know, I feel you and everyone’s entitled to their opinion,” she said. “But, you know, we still live in a country where you’re innocent until proven guilty. And I understand everything that’s happened, and me being a feminist and believing women. I mean, ‘no’ means ‘no’ and I get that.”

Bill will face prison time if convicted of alleged crimes that date as far back as the 1960s and as recently as about a decade ago.
