EJ Johnson — who stars on E! reality series Rich Kids of Beverly Hills — stepped out on Monday and instantly made headlines for his noticeable weight loss.

EJ, who is also the son of former NBA star Magic Johnson, rocked an all-black ensemble and accessorized with a purse, sunglasses and a gold bracelet. In September, we learned the 23-year-old dropped 180 pounds following his August 2014 gastric bypass surgery.

“[Weight] is something that I’ve been struggling with for pretty much all of my life,” he previously told People of his decision to go under the knife. “Nothing was working, and I wanted to make a more permanent decision to get back on track, but I wanted to wait until I was a little bit older to know how to handle myself afterwards.”
