Teresa and Joe Giudice are going to trial for their federal indictment on fraud charges.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars were arraigned today (Aug. 14) in a Newark, NJ court, on charges of bank fraud, conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and making false statements on a loan or bankruptcy application.
The judge set a trial date for October 8th at 9am. It is likely to last around two weeks.
Both Teresa and Joe were in the courtroom for the brief 15-minute hearing and both submitted not guilty pleas to all charges.
“Teresa looked stone cold serious,” an eyewitness tells InTouch of the star who came dressed for the occasion in a cream colored suit. “She only looked up at the judge when she addressed her directly.”
Teresa, 41, and her husband Joe, 43 were indicted and charged on 39 counts last month of conspiring to hide assets during their bankruptcy proceedings and fraudulently obtain millions of dollars in loans.
Joe, whose real name is Guiseppe, is also charged with Tax evasion.
If found guilty, the pair could face up to 50 years in prison.
