Amanda Bynes has made no secret of her desire to become a singer— and rapper Waka Flocka Flame is determined to help her get there.
The “No Hands” crooner opened up to In Touch about how he’s aiding the star in launching her rap career.
“I reached out to her, I got a great production team for her, I got great records in the process of being made for her, so hopefully that's something that she takes a look at,” he tells the mag, admitting that the duo made plans to connect via FaceTime. “She just wants a change. Same with Gucci [Mane]— he was like, ‘I just want a change. I'd rather go f--king crazy and not care about anyone else.’”
Amanda Bynes Admits: I Love How Justin Bieber Dresses
And Waka Flocka (below) is convinced that Amanda could be the next big thing.
“I think she'd be like a new Pink or something,” he says of the 27-year-old. But under one circumstance: “She's got to be her own person.”
The troubled star, who “retired” from acting three years ago, is ready to expand her horizons in music. “I love singing and I can’t wait to start working on an album," she tells In Touch. "Right now, I’m getting in shape for all the photo shoots.”
And the rapper is not surprised that she’s looking for a fresh start. “I don't know her, but I’ve seen what the industry can do to people and young people like that,” he says.
Inside Amanda Bynes' Infatuation with Drake
Waka Flocka, who is due out with his album Flocka Valley 2 this winter, also opened up about Amanda’s infatuation with fellow rapper, Drake.
“I don't know that man's taste,” he says of whether or not they’d be compatible. “So many couples are so random nowadays, you don't know who will last. “
One thing is for sure— Waka Flocka knows exactly what Amanda’s rap name should be: “A.B.”
