Move over Ricky Gervais! Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are in the building.
The hilarious ladies have been named the official hosts of the 70th annual Golden Globes, taking the torch from Ricky who has been the show’s emcee for the last three years.
"The unparalleled comedic timing of Tina and Amy will surely have viewers wanting to tune-in to see them in action," said Takla-O'Reilly, president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. "The HFPA is thrilled to have the magnetic duo be a part of the show's 70th anniversary!"
The Parks and Recreation and 30 Rock stars have already worked together in Mean Girls, Baby Mama and on Saturday Night Live, but it's their real-life friendship that's sure to guarantee many unscripted laughs.
"Having both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on board to host this year's festivities is a major coup," said Paul Telegdy, president of alternative and late night programming at NBC. "Tina and Amy have a proven chemistry and comedic timing from their many years together on 'SNL' to their successful co-starring roles in 'Baby Mama.'"
The 70th annual Golden Globe Awards will take place January 13, 2013.
