The erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey dominated best-seller lists all summer, so it’s no surprise that Law & Order: SVU has decided to put its own spin on the books with a Fifty Shades-themed episode.

Rather than basing a crime victim on Anastasia Steele or Christian Grey, the series has written a character modeled after the trilogy’s creator, E. L. James.

The Oct. 10 episode “deals with the author of a book called 25 Acts, a woman’s journey through the world of domination and submission,” showrunner Warren Leight explains.

And it’s been reported that Veep actress Anna Chlumsky will play the writer!

SVU won’t be the last show to toy with S&M as a result of the books’ popularity: In fact, David Boreanaz has already tweeted a pic of dog collars and whips from the set of his hit series, Bones, promising “Fifty Shades of Bones” in an upcoming episode.
