From competing on American Idol in 2002 to rubbing elbows with Beyoncé and President Obama in the same day, Kelly Clarkson’s come a long way!

The singer performed “My Country, ‘Tis of Thee” at the 57th Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 21 – and then tweeted a candid photo of herself hanging out with "Single Ladies" songstress backstage!

“Me and B just hangin' out,” the 30-year-old captioned the pic. “Seriously, God did good. She is so beautiful!”

The "Catch My Breath" crooner’s performance was followed by a spectacular rendition of “The National Anthem” by Beyoncé.

But it was meeting the president that really made Kelly's day!

“Wow.... I was incredibly nervous and cold,” she shared afterward, adding jokingly, "I just wanna officially thank President Obama for opening for me! Just kidding."
