It’s only a matter of time before Justin Timberlake is climbing the charts again.

After a countdown clock on the star’s website revealed he’d be releasing his first new song in six years, fans checked in this morning, Jan. 14, to see if he held true to his promise…and he did! JT officially released his new single, “Suit & Tie.”

And he’s not alone on the track. Justin enlisted the help of his friend, hip-hop legend Jay-Z, to rap on the tune.

Singing over a smooth sax, it has everything a typical Justin song should have: Sexy lyrics, sultry vocals and Timbaland as producer.

Though Justin’s first album singles are normally more upbeat (faster tracks like Justified’s “Like I Love You” and FutureSex/LoveSounds’ “SexyBack”), we think it’s only a portion of the greatness that’s yet to come.

“Back in June of last year, I quietly started working on what is now my next journey with that thing I love called MUSIC,” Justin shares. “The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn’t expect anything out of it.”

He continues, “What I came up with is something I couldn’t be more excited about it! It is full of inspiration that I grew up listening to and some newfound muses that I’ve discovered along the way.”

And his fans are definitely ready for more music.
