Connor Cruise Apologizes For “Homophobic” Text

California’s ban on same-sex marriage, Proposition 8, may have been struck down this week, but sadly, homophobia still runs rampant – even amongst Hollywood’s elite. According to a friend of Todd KrimConnor Cruise’s former manager — the 17-year-old son of Tom Cruise revealed an ugly side after sending Todd, who's also CEO of the Give Back Hollywood Foundation, a hateful text message on Sunday evening after the Super Bowl. After Todd jokingly dissed Connor’s favorite team, the New England Patriots, on Twitter, Connor texted him, “That was a gay ass f*ckin Tweet.”

After the shocking exchange, Todd announced that he was cutting all personal and professional ties with the budding DJ. “I wanted to let you know that I am no longer working with Connor Cruise. In fact, I am no longer speaking with Connor Cruise,” Todd wrote in an e-mail to friends, adding that he considered Connor’s behavior to be “highly offensive” and “homophobic.” But after Connor's embarrassing text was made public, “Connor sent me an apology, which I accept, so the matter is closed,” Todd tells In Touch exclusively, though he declines to elaborate further on the severed relationship.

Connor's behavior must be mortifying to his father Tom, who “has micromanaged Connor's life from the time he was a baby," an insider tells In Touch. But as Connor gets older and more independent, establishing his music career, Tom is losing control over his son's actions.
