In Touch Exclusive: Britney Spears Turns Down Jason Trawick’s Proposal

Christmas came early for Britney Spears when her boyfriend, Jason Trawick, proposed with a massive engagement ring. Too bad the pop star answered with a big fat maybe!

According to a pal, Jason, 39, was planning to ask Britney to marry him on Christmas, but decided to push it up and proposed on her 30th birthday on December 2. “Jason got down on one knee and asked,” the friend tells In Touch. “Britney panicked and said she needed time to think.” Luckily, the friend believes Britney is planning to say yes eventually. “It’s a power move to keep Jason waiting,” the pal explains. “There’s no way she’ll say no.”

Another insider, meanwhile, says Brit doesn’t want anyone to think she’s making another rash decision. “She won’t rush into anything without giving it a lot of thought.”
